Frequently Asked Questions
Common misconceptions and Frequently Asked Questions
"Why do I need a video? I'm paying to have pictures taken.“
Plain and simple: We firmly believe that no one should consider getting married without having the special day captured on video.
Do you own a video camera or have you ever recorded video with your phone? Why? It is because you know that while pictures may speak 1000 words, video is the best way to put you back in the moment so you can hear the laughter, the music, the sounds, the baby's first words. Also, think how a video captures those who are no longer with us years down the road.
Do not make the mistake of overlooking the importance of this popular wedding service. Most people are accustomed to spending a small bundle on professional photographs, flowers, catered food, cakes, a DJ, invitations, and even wedding planners. However, some give little consideration to a professional video.
So we ask those of you included in this group: Once the day is over, and the music stops, the food is gone, the guests have gone home, and the flowers have wilted - What do you have to remember the day with? A beautiful photo album hidden in your closet? When (or if) you find the album, do the photos allow you, your friends, and family to truly relive the moment again? Can you “hear“ what the pictures are saying? Can you hear the spoken vows and the “first dance“? Or will you be burdened with having to explain each picture to people? Hopefully your memory stays sharp for the next 25-50 years. But what happens when you're gone? Who will tell your story?
Please don't misunderstand us regarding wedding photo albums. The fact is, we strongly encourage that you hire a professional photographer. We have worked with several photographers which we highly recommend. Quite honestly, the photo album and wedding video compliment each other. There is no substitute for either. We are simply passionate about what we do and therefore, stress that the professional wedding video is no less important than any other service for your special day.
We have even heard a few people claim, "I don't think I'll ever watch the video, so I don't want one." In our opinion, these individuals are not considering the thoughts of their future children and grandchildren. Have you ever imagined going back in time to witness your parents or grandparents saying their vows and hearing THEIR voices - instead of just looking at still pictures with no action or sound? Unfortunately, it's too late for those past weddings. So make it your choice to not repeat history. Your wedding day is certainly one of the most important milestones in your life. Preserve it on video!

“OK. I know I want it videotaped. My relative has offered to do it for free.“
Of course, there is a small handful of people who are convinced that "Uncle Bob can do a good enough job with his personal camcorder.” Unfortunately, we have heard a lot of the horror stories that follow. One in particular was, “my friend forgot to hit the record button during the whole ceremony and he was drinking during the reception...“. Another encounter we heard of was, “the video was so shaky that we almost got motion sickness from watching it.“ People have brought us some of these home-videos (in tears) to attempt a miracle “fix“ in our editing systems. Sadly, there is a limit to what can be done to repair the shakiness, improper lighting, and poor audio from consumer cameras and their owners.
